At the Small and Self-Publishing Faire, we believe in bringing the underrepresented in the Portland publishing community together. Our mission is to support our fellow publishers who are working tirelessly to bring their books into the light, whoever they may be.
What We're Committed to
Support
We help self-published authors and independent publishers promote their stories through the booths and author readings at our annual faire. We also partner with others to give back to the community through workshops we offer as raffle and contest prizes.
Representation
We have sponsorships designed to support the BIPOC and differently-abled members of our community. We want to encourage a diverse community of readers, writers, and publishers through aiding minoritized and historically suppressed voices within the publishing community.
Community
We are committed to serving our community through connecting publishers with both readers and other publishers through the Small and Self-Publishing Faire. We aim to foster a sense of belonging in the publishing world by creating a shared place to connect and learn from each other.
